A short distance from both Cleveland and Akron are nearly 33,000 acres of protected land: Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. Over 100 miles of trails take you beside the winding Cuyahoga river, into deep forests, and through open farmlands (Cuyahoga means "crooked river" in native American). Towpath Trail follows the historic route of the Ohio & Erie Canal.
