Valley Forge National Historical Park

The National Park Service protects 3,500 acres in Valley Forge National Historic Park (about 20 miles northwest of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). Valley Forge is most famous as the winter encampment where General George Washington and the Continental Army experienced extreme hardships during the American Revolution.
