Official State Dance of Oregon

Oregon designated the square dance as the official state dance in 1977. Twenty-two states have adopted the uniquely American square dance as an official state symbol. All State Dances

The square dance provided pioneers with recreation and social contact with neighbors - and is still doing that today!
