Official State Tejano Music Hall of Fame of Texas

The Tejano Roots Hall of Fame in Alice, Texas was designated the official state Tejano music hall of fame in 2001. All Music Symbols - All State Museums

There are 242 artists listed as members of the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame. Tejanos are descended from the Spanish explorers and colonizers who settled Texas. They eventually took the name Tejano from the Spanish word Tejas, used by native Americans who originally inhabited Texas.
