Morro Bay State Park
Morro Bay State Park (named for Morro Rock, which juts dramatically from the bay), offers a first-hand experience with lagoon and natural bay habitat, including a pristine saltwater marsh on the northeast edge of the bay supporting a thriving ecosystem.
The park also offers a museum with exhibits covering the natural features and cultural history of Morro Bay, including Native American life, geology, and oceanography.
