Official Tennessee State Sport Fish

Tennessee designated smallmouth bass as the official state game fish in 2005 (replacing largemouth bass, which had been adopted in 1988). Largemouth bass is a state symbol in four states - Tennessee is the only state that recognizes smallmouth bass. All State Fish

Tennessee also adopted the channel catfish as the official state commercial fish.
