Official State Songs of Oklahoma

In addition to recognizing an official folk dance and two musical instruments (fiddle and drum) as state symbols, Oklahoma has adopted seven songs to represent The Sooner State:

Children's song: "Oklahoma, My Native Land" by Martha Kemm Barrett

Country western song: "Faded Love" by John Wills and Bob Wills

Folk song: "Oklahoma Hills" by Woody Guthrie and Jack Guthrie

Gospel song: "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" by Wallis Willis

Rock song: "Do You Realize??" by the Flaming Lips

Song and anthem:  "Oklahoma!" by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein

Waltz: "Oklahoma Wind" by Dr. Dale J. Smith
