Hang on Sloopy

Official State Rock Song of Ohio

It is only appropriate that state home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have an official state rock song.

In 1985, the Ohio General Assembly passed a resolution making “Hang on Sloopy” by Bert Berns & Wes Farrell the official state rock song (Ohio was the first state to adopt an official rock song). Ohio adopted its first state song in 1969; Beautiful Ohio. All State Songs
