Oregon designated the thunderegg as the official state rock in 1965 after the rockhounds of Oregon voted it as their first choice. All State Rocks

Found chiefly in Crook, Jefferson, Malheur, Wasco and Wheeler counties of Oregon, each thunderegg is unique in pattern, design and color. Cut and polished, thundereggs reveal exquisite designs. They are a wonder of nature and are sought after and highly prized around the globe.

South Carolina grown tea was designated the official state hospitality beverage of South Carolina in 1995. All State Foods & Beverages

South Carolina is the first place in the United States where tea was grown (planted in the Lowcountry outside of Charleston). Direct descendants of those original plants are growing today at the Charleston Tea Plantation; a lush, subtropical tea farm near the historic city of Charleston.

Official State Spanish Language Song of New Mexico

"Así Es Nuevo Méjico" by contemporary composer Amadeo Lucero, was sung by Lieutenant Governor Roberto Mondragon (with guitar accompaniment) to the assembled members of the 1971 New Mexico State Legislature and was promptly adopted as the official Spanish-language version of the state song.

Official State Cowboy Song of New Mexico

New Mexico designated "Under the New Mexico Skies," composed by Syd Masters of Edgewood, New Mexico as the official state cowboy song in 2009. This song was selected at a song-writing competition sponsored by the New Mexico Music Commission at the Western Music Association Music Festival in Albuquerque in November 2007.
